WOW! I just returned from the Windland Smith Rice Exhibit reception at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum in Washington DC. It felt very surreal to see my photograph on the wall, along with the other 47 amazing photographs. I also had the pleasure of meeting Stephen Freligh, Co-founder and Publisher of Nature's Best Photography, and several prominent wildlife photographers.

I am pleased and honored that Tunnel View Rainbow – Yosemite is on exhibit at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Yosemite is a very sacred place, and I’m glad that this special park is represented!

As a Yosemite Conservancy volunteer, I will be leaving for Tuolumne Meadows soon for my six week volunteer session. Since my session was cancelled last year due to all the snow/water in the high country, I am looking forward to getting up there. Along with my fellow volunteers, our duties include helping out at the Conservancy Membership Booth in front of the Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center. We also act as docents for Parson’s Lodge in the Meadows, and other days, have a spotting scope available at Olmsted Point to view hikers on Half Dome. It’s a lot of work, but so very fun!
